Find out who truly is your role model. Mine was Steve MacQueen.

DON’T LOOK DOWN YET!!

FIRST, do the simple maths below…..

THEN, and only then scroll down to find your hero.

It’s CRAZY how accurate this is!

Ok here is the Maths:

1) Pick your favorite number between 1-8

2) Multiply by 3 then

3) Add 3

4) Then again Multiply by 3 (I’ll wait while you get a calculator…..)

5) You’ll get a 2 digit number…..maybe 42.

6) Add the digits together. Example 4 and 2 = 6

Now look down
………………

With that number, see who your ROLE MODEL is from the list below:

1. Albert Einstein
2. Charles Darwin
3. Mother Theresa
4. Winston Churchill
5. Nelson Mandela
6. Gandhi
7. Princess Diana
8. Martin Luther King
9 Richard Brown
10. Steve MacQueen
11. Isambard Kingdom Brunel
12. Dali Lama

I know…I just have that effect on people…One day you, too, can be like me…. Believe it!

P.S. Stop picking different numbers!! I AM YOUR IDOL, JUST DEAL WITH IT!!!!!!

Hashtags will help promote your business in Twitter They will help you to leverage maximum impact.

An example of using hashtags to promote yourself

Over this weekend I built a coop and a run for my new chickens. So using hashtags I might add a post like this:

Built new chicken coop and run over the weekend. The chooks are crowing! #chickens #coop #run.

Now anybody using the service and searching for the terms chickens, coop and/or run will find my tweet (the term applied to posts in Twitter) through the hashtags I used.
Be careful not to abuse the hashtag system. For instance in the tweet above if I did this:

Built new chicken coop and run over the weekend. The chooks are crowing! #chickens #coop #run #haiti.

I would be adding a hashtag that I know is in current affairs. However, my post is totally irrelevant and therefore will be considered spam. This could result in people blocking my tweet but also blocking me and ultimately losing
followers. It is also poor ethically.
I could alter the tweet to read like this:

Built new chicken coop and run over the weekend. The chooks are crowing! In aid of Haiti I am offering a naming competition. Visit URL to see. #Haiti #chickens #coop #run.

You need to be creative in your tweets in promoting your business but don’t abuse the service.

For more on Twitter visit the website or read my introduction to Twitter and any posts relating to the service.

1. Be grateful: Some study participants were asked to write letters of gratitude to people who had helped them in some way. The study found that these people reported a lasting increase in happiness – over weeks and even months – after implementing the habit. What’s even more surprising: Sending the letter is not necessary. Even when people wrote letters but never delivered them to the addressee, they still reported feeling better afterwards.

2. Be optimistic: Another practice that seems to help is optimistic thinking. Study participants were asked to visualize an ideal future – for example, living with a loving and supportive partner, or finding a job that was fulfilling – and describe the image in a journal entry. After doing this for a few weeks, these people too reported increased feelings of well-being.

3. Count your blessings: People who practice writing down three good things that have happened to them every week show significant boosts in happiness, studies have found. It seems the act of focusing on the positive helps people remember reasons to be glad.

4. Use your strengths: Another study asked people to identify their greatest strengths, and then to try to use these strengths in new ways. For example, someone who says they have a good sense of humor could try telling jokes to lighten up business meetings or cheer up sad friends. This habit, too, seems to heighten happiness.

5. Commit acts of kindness: It turns out helping others also helps ourselves. People who donate time or money to charity, or who altruistically assist people in need, report improvements in their own happiness.

A man stopped at a flower shop to order some flowers to be wired to his mother who lived two hundred miles away.
As he got out of his car he noticed a young girl sitting on the curb sobbing.
He asked her what was wrong and she replied, “I wanted to buy a red rose for my mother.
But I only have seventy-five cents, and a rose costs two dollars.”
The man smiled and said, “Come on in with me. I’ll buy you a rose.”
He bought the little girl her rose and ordered his own mother’s flowers.
As they were leaving he offered the girl a ride home.
She said, “Yes, please! You can take me to my mother.”
She directed him to a cemetery, where she placed the rose on a freshly dug grave.
The man returned to the flower shop, canceled the wire order, picked up a bouquet and drove the two hundred miles to his mother’s house.

Hey are we excited that BuddyPress is now compatible with a single Wordpress install. There are problems though with getting it up and running with a standard install most particularly with your current theme. That is why this plugin was written; Buddypress Template Pack. I have a site up and running over at Cornwall Wave that runs Wordpress single install, Buddypress 1.2 and Thesis 1.6. It works just not completely! The challenge is to get it working.

So I uploaded the above plugin and proceeded through step 1 with no problems. Step 2 is skipped because there were no problems with step 1, step 3 however listed this:

Step Three
Now that the template files are in the correct location, click through your site (you can come back to this page at any point). You should see a BuddyPress admin bar at the top of the page, try visiting some of the links in the “My Account” menu. You should find that BuddyPress pages now work and are displayed.

If you find that the pages are not quite aligned correctly, or the content is overlapping the sidebar, you will need to tweak the template HTML. Please follow the “fixing alignment” instructions below. If the content in your pages is aligned in the correct place then you can skip to the “Finishing Up” section at the bottom of this page.

Fixing Alignment

By default BuddyPress templates use this HTML structure:

[HEADER]

		[PAGE CONTENT]

		[SIDEBAR CONTENT]

[FOOTER]

If BuddyPress pages are not aligned correctly then you will need to modify some of the templates to match your theme’s HTML structure. The best way to do this is to FTP to your theme’s files at:

/home/cornwallwave/web/wp-content/themes/thesis_16/

Then open up the page.php file (if this does not exist use index.php). Make note of the HTML template structure of the file, specifically the

tags that surround the content and sidebar.

You will need to change the HTML structure in the BuddyPress templates that you copied into your theme to match the structure in your page.php or index.php file. The files that you need to edit are as follows (leave out any folders you have not copied over in step two):

/activity/index.php
/blogs/index.php
/forums/index.php
/groups/index.php
/groups/create.php
/groups/single/home.php
/groups/single/plugins.php
/members/index.php
/members/single/home.php
/members/single/plugins.php
/registration/register.php
Once you are done matching up the HTML structure of your theme in these template files, please take another look through your site. You should find that BuddyPress pages now fit inside the content structure of your theme.

Finishing Up

You’re now all done with the conversion process. Your WordPress theme will now happily provide BuddyPress compatibility support. Once you hit the finish button you will be presented with a new permanent theme options page allowing you to tweak some settings.

Ok now we have some problems. I think I’ll pass this to the Thesis forums and see what if anything folks come up with.
