Quite simple this really! Go here:

This is the homepage of Marc Liyanage. You probably came here for the software in the Mac OS X Software category…

Excellent site.

Ten Favourite Mac Applications

One to be completed but I got the idea from here:

Here are my ten:
Organise
Quicksilver
TextWrangler
Yummy FTP
Onyx
Mail
Camino
iPick
Photoshop Elements

Programmes

Ok so what programmes do you have loaded up on your Mac? If your Mac was to crash beyond repair and you bought yourself a new Mac, what would be the first programmes you would load up and why?

To get us started here is my list:
Web Browsers
Camino
Flock

Camino because it looks and behave like a Mac. Flock because it has the extensions of Firefox but not the cost in terms of Ram and Firefox because I just do…

Development
Mamp - Xampp
Because it is good and I need it.
FTP - Yummy
Editor - Text Wrangler
Photos - Elements
Colours - iPick

Over to you.

Rich

Show Hidden Files

Switch on full view, in the Terminal type:

defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE

killall Finder

To revert back, type:

defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles FALSE

killall Finder

That simple!

Camino Web Browser

I discovered this a while ago and I haven’t stopped using it. I can’t tell you why but I have had a go with Safari and I do regularly head off to Firefox mostly to validate web pages or check on div order or some such thing. But I always come back to Camino. Quite simply I believe it to be the best browser in the business which is why I am doing a shameless plug:

I Love Camino!
